Trouble Shooting S4 Monitor

The WaterRower S4 Monitor measures the speed of the paddle using an infrared detector mounted on the underside of the top deck and a castellated Sensor Pickup mounted on the inner clutch bush.

The motion of the paddle revolved the sensor disk which in turn triggers the infrared detector

Monitor flashes but does not run

  1. Sensor may have picked up dust, check for soiling

  2. Sensor may be damaged, check for damage or rubbing

  3. Sensor wires may be damaged, check for damage

  4. Sensor disk may have slid down the shaft so sensor can not "sense" properly.  Simply slide sensor disk up 1/8 inch towards the top deck.  View Instructions Here.
